Guess what Fashion designer Richard Chai retail sculptured interior is made of?
If you have guessed foam, you are right! However, if you thought that this structure was designed with computer-aided design software and advanced cutting machines, you will be surprised to know that it was all done by hand with the help of a hot wire cutter done by the artist and architect team Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of Snarkitecture.
The store is a temporary space, located in a shipping container under the High Line Park at HL23, NYC. The store is part of the Building Fashion installation series which pairs fashion designers with architects in an installation series exploring the intersection of architecture and fashion through integrated store and exhibition design.
The shop will be open to the public for ten days and after closing, the interior will be recycled back into building insulation.

I'm digging this blog. I certainly don't agree with everything, but it's an interesting read.
