Blogger Interview - Jean Pierre

As part of the ARDT style collaborations with our favorite bloggers, we asked them a few questions to find out more about them and their lives.

1. Introduction about yourself?

My name is Jean Pierre and I'm 19 years old. I live in the Netherlands.

2. What do you do?

I study Graphic Design at the academy of arts. Currently I'm focusing on fashion (photography) and small documentaries and movies. My education is called stories and design. It's great to combine a story with a design; in fact, with fashion you do exact the same thing.

3. Why did you start a blog and what do you normally blog about?

I started with my blog about a year ago. I thought about it for a long time and suddenly I decided to just do it. I wanted to show myself to the world. I wanted to let people know who I am and what I do. Why not? Everybody has something to offer. We’re here with a purpose, run your life.

4. When did you started getting interested in fashion?

I started to realize that fashion, for me, was a way to express myself. Nowadays people judge each other on their appearance more than ever. You can decide for yourself how people will see you. Fashion just became an important part of my life

5. Has you ever worn something and regretted it for the rest of your life?

No I haven't. You shouldn't regret anything. What's life without challenges and things to learn from? Deciding you won't wear it again is another thing ;).

6. What do you think matches best with ARDENTEES?

7. Websites you visit?

I visit a lot of websites. For example: The fashionisto, lookbook.com, independentfashionbloggers.com, twitter, facebook. These are just a few of my daily sites I check. I'm also always looking for new blogs and people's individual profile sites. I love to meet new and real people.

8. What are your favorite brands?

I'm really into the Scandinavian brands. Although I cannot afford the clothes I always try to interpret it in my own way. Brands I like includes: Rick Owens, Acne, ASOS, Cheap Monday, YSL. I just like a lot, I'm exploring everything every day as I don't limit want to limit myself.

9. Where do you normally shop?

I often go to Amsterdam for shopping. The vintage shops are great over there. I do get my basics from H&M or Zara. I also visit a lot of second hand shops. It’s different from vintage stores, but totally worth it. Places where young people often do not go, but for me, it’s the place to find my unique pieces.

10. 3 things you won’t leave home without

I always take my sketchbook and my pencils with me. I cannot spend my time somewhere without it. For me it's the way to escape from the life we live in, and get my thoughts on paper.

11. What are your wardrobe essentials?

I wear a lot of blazers and tight fitted jeans combined with comfortable tees and tanktops. ARDENTEES are perfect for that.

12. Any last words or shout outs?

Karma is a bitch. Still I'm defining my own fate. With my honest ideas about right and wrong I try to fight myself through life. There is no fixed formula, really, it isn't. Still the search for it is already worth it. The question is, are you willing to live?
